As I explored London, Bradshaw in hand, or travelled abroad, I was increasingly frustrated by my photographic inadequacies. So in 2014 I acquired a Canon 600D DSLR camera with a standard kit lens, EFS 18-55mm. In September 2014 enrolled on a beginners’ course in digital photography. It wasn’t at all what I expected and I loved it! I also use a Canon Powershot 240 SX. In December 2015 I treated myself to a Canon EFS 70mm-300mm zoom lens – magic. I have a simple tripod, a grey card, and a light meter – the last acquired in December 2015 and now I have to learn to use it.
